We are a thriving Anglican church in the centre of Cambridge with a congregation of all ages and stages drawn from all over Cambridge and beyond. Although we’re a large church we’re still a family with an informal style and warm welcoming culture. The best way to get to know us is to come and visit!
We believe that who Jesus is and what he’s done for us is the best news ever, and we make it our central aim to know him better and make him better known.
OUR VALUES
Everyone is welcome at HT, whatever their background or wherever they are in their journey of faith, but as a church, we have some core values we aspire to and are committed to living out.
We believe that the description of the early church in Acts 2:42-47 is still God’s heart for His church today, so we embrace it as a blueprint for our life together.
“They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. Everyone was filled with awe at the many wonders and signs performed by the apostles. All the believers were together and had everything in common. They sold property and possessions to give to anyone who had need. Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favour of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved. ”
1. Devoted to the Scriptures Here at HT we have a high view of the Bible and prioritise biblical teaching. We believe God’s Word brings truth and life, so it guides and governs not only what we do on Sundays but our whole life together as a church.
2. Delighting in God’s Praise God’s church is meant to be a fountain of praise, that’s why worship is one of our core values. We love times in God’s presence - praying and praising – and invest in this across our church life, especially in times of sung worship.
3. Empowered by God’s Spirit Our God is the living God who gives his people his empowering presence, the Holy Spirit. Here at HT we teach and practice the spiritual gifts, pray big prayers and expect him to meet with us, strengthen us and guide us as we wait on Him and seek to follow Him..
4. Showing God’s Love Jesus said, ‘they will know you are my disciples by your love’. We value community and genuine relationships, foster a generous spirit and culture of sacrificial love, and seek ways to show God’s love to our neighbours all across wider Cambridge.
5. Sharing the Good News God has called us to be His witnesses of the amazing love he’s poured out on us in Jesus. Seeing people come to know Jesus is one of our highest priorities. We work hard not to get focused just on ourselves but to always have a focus on those who don’t yet know God.

Cambridge is a vibrant and growing city, with two world-class universities, rapidly expanding research, tech & medical industries, and thousands of houses being built every year. Under God’s hand, we want to make the biggest possible impact we can, reaching as many people as possible with the good news of Jesus and seeing God’s church thrive all across wider Cambridge and beyond!
In recent years the Lord has been blessing us and we are entering a new season of ministry expansion. Our mission to the city centre and university remains but God is giving us a vision to reach the wider city in a big way.
Our heart in this new season is :
to keep growing, making space for all those God is calling to join us,
to continue to develop as a discipleship and leadership training hub for the area,
to engage and serve our city more, engaging in public life and loving our communities,
and to explore planting and partnering further afield
